Karen Day has written all her life, as a journalist and a young-adult author(Tall Tales, A Million Miles from Boston), but one short story she wrote a few decades ago became her first novel for adult readers, called I'll Stay.. It became a Publishers Marketplace Buzz Book 2017.
Day will be at the South End library on Tuesday, June 26, at 6:30 PM, to talk about I'll Stay. It is set in Indiana and on the East Coast, and centers on a friendship of two women before and after experiencing a violent event together when in their 20s.
The author, who has a BA in Journalism from Indiana University and a MA in English Literature from DePaul University, teaches writing for children at Grub Street in Boston, MA.
